Let's talk about internal work! Kiwi can be a really helpful tool for easing into penetration—completely on your own terms. It can be normal to feel trepidation if you've never really tried inserting anything before, or if you'd had bad experiences with it in the past. But know the with Kiwi, you're in control, and the narrow end meant for internal work will only ever allow for shallow penetration.

As you begin your internal work, start by:

  • Using some nervous system calming techniques like diaphragmatic breathing
  • Appreciating and sitting with the sensations in your body before you even attempt to insert Kiwi

When you decide to move on to inserting Kiwi, start:

  • With the larger end facing downwards so you don't have to worry about where the other parts of Kiwi are sitting on your body (as you get comfortable, rotate Kiwi so it's facing upwards so you can begin to incorporate clitoral stimulation)
  • Insert Kiwi slowly, being sure to pause if you feel any restrictions or sensations, breathing through those feelings before you continuing
  • If you do feel uncomfortable at any point, feel free to stop, and either set Kiwi aside or try again if you feel up to it
  • If you're feeling overwhelmed and like the sensation is too much, slowly remove Kiwi and take some time to calm the nervous system. Remember to try to always end your work with Kiwi on a positive note by taking stock of these sensations and calming your body and mind if you need to
