The goal of this video is to help dial down the intensity of cramping or radiating pain in the bleeding phase of your cycle. It’s a normal part of a pain experience to contract and restrict and guard against the pain. We recommend leaning into this practice as soon as you start to feel menstrual or ovulation-related pelvic pain to help move, touch, and listen to the painful areas rather than contract away from them. These exercises won’t cure your endo, but they can help bring some ease to your nervous system and improve blood flow to areas of pain.
You can also use these exercises during the ovulation phase of your cycle if you tend to get flares of pain then as well. You can practice these movements all together or break up into sections throughout your day if your energy doesn’t allow for a full session.Â
