Pelvic floor conditions often have a component of gastrointestinal complaints.  This can range from painful bloating, to diarrhea, constipation,  and even heartburn.  A common component of a home exercise program we give to those suffering with any of these complaints is the colon massage.  This massage you can easily do at home, encourages peristalsis, or the involuntary squeezing of our intestines to push food through so that we can eliminate it in a timely manner. Efficient digestion and movement of food through our intestines is mandatory for a healthy, happy, pelvic floor.
