This is a short breathing exercise for those looking to relax their pelvic floors, calm pain or bladder and bowel symptoms. Diaphragmatic breathing is a form of deep breathing that helps deliver more blood to our muscles and tissues and relax the nervous system. Much deeper and more deliberate than a regular chest breath, you’ll notice that your belly will extend as you inhale and you’ll feel a nice stretch in your pelvic floor. You can take this breathing with you throughout the day as you sit, stand, walk, or even exercise to make sure you’re not tensing your pelvic floor muscles throughout the day.
